Conor McGregor accused of faking his transformation

In an era where photoshopping pictures is becoming increasingly popular, it does seem bizarre that an athlete who trains every day would feel the need to do something similar, yet that is exactly what Conor McGregor is being accused of.

The Irish MMA legend is targeting a return to competitive action in the UFC in the early months of 2023, and in order to display his training progress to fans he has been posting images of his body online.

What immediately caught the eye was how much bigger McGregor looked in terms of his muscles and frame.

Having claimed to have used his 16-month hiatus away from fighting to hit the gym and improve his physique, McGregor was always going to look different.

Yet, people aren’t buying the suggestion that these gains are legitimate and accusations of photoshopping have been thrown towards the notoriously confident fighter.

“These photos are photoshopped”

It isn’t just on social media where these accusations are being made, a UFC title challenger, Chael Sonnen, also believes that the gains showed by the Irishman aren’t real.

“It makes you a bit of an idiot, you have got kids in high school that can tell you when something is photoshopped.”
