Bayern Munich prepares a new deal, which will be a transfer blow for Man Utd.

MANCHESTER UNITED’s pursuit of Eric Chupo-Moting in the transfer market has suffered a setback. With 11 goals in 16 appearances for Bayern Munich this season, the striker has found his form.

Because of this, United is considering Choupo-Moting as a possible Cristiano Ronaldo successor. Prior to a potential January bid, the Red Devils reportedly enquired about the striker’s availability, but it seems he will remain at Bayern.

That’s because, according to Bild, the German champions are planning a contract extension. The present agreement for Choupo-Moting expires in 2023, thus the two sides are scheduled to meet in February.

However, it’s thought that he won’t sign a contract until he is given better terms, which Bayern are happy to provide the 33-year-old. Choupo-Moting reportedly makes £60,000 per week, but with his new contract, he might see a significant increase in pay.

Ronaldo has been associated with Bayern since his historic conversation with SunSport’s Piers Morgan. The striker’s contract may be terminated by United, allowing him to sign with another team in January.

Before his tell-all interview, Ronaldo reportedly met with Bayern officials with the help of his agent, Jorge Mendes. The Portuguese player is also a target for David Beckham’s Inter Miami, and their chances of signing him have improved thanks to MLS’s windfall of £210 million from a TV rights deal with Apple.
