PSG advisor makes Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid claim

Most Real Madrid fans had felt that Kylian Mbappe was destined to wear the royal white jersey, when he visited Santiago Bernabeu last season with Paris Saint-Germain. The French World Cup winner’s admiration for a certain Cristiano Ronaldo had never been a secret and with his contract set to run out, the expectation was that he would follow in his childhood hero’s footsteps and join the Spanish club.

That did not end up happening though and Mbappe went on to agree a bumper extension with PSG instead, which left a bitter taste in the mouths of a lot of Real Madrid fans. Yet, the rumours of a potential move to Real Madrid one day have never quite gone away, while there have also been suggestions that Mbappe could end up leaving PSG in the not too distant future, despite having agreed a new deal just earlier this year.

Now PSG advisor, Luis Campos, has made some interesting comments and did not rule out a move to Real Madrid one day. As reported by Mundo Deportivo, he said: “If he will play for Real one day? I don’t know.”

At this point of time, there is a large section of the Real Madrid fanbase who would not want to see Mbappe play for the club after how things turned out in the summer. At the same time though, he is performing at a very high level, for both club and country, and has been shining with France at the World Cup lately despite the defending champions missing several key players.

Thus, as long as he continues to play at this level, the links with Real Madrid will always hold some value to them. Whether a move to Santiago Bernabeu will happen some day or not remains to be seen, and is something only time will tell.
